M.R. Street

M.R. Street writes children’s stories because that is her favorite thing to read.
She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
Her love of dogs led her to write the true story, DOG OF JAPAN: HACHIKO,
which appeared in Faces magazine in January 2006.
A writing exercise that ignited her memories of the mountains of North Carolina
– combined with her love of horses plus some made-up stuff – resulted in her
debut novel, BLUE ROCK RESCUE. This action adventure story won an award
from the Tallahassee Writers Association and got a five-star review
from TeensReadToo.com.
M.R. works for the Florida Department of Health to support her penchant
for going to writing conferences and buying great children’s stories.
She lives in Tallahassee with her husband, two children, and one dog.
Her horse lives nearby.
